No God on Twitter

Today I a lot of Christians tried to make "No God No Peace, Know God Know Peace" a big hit on Twitter. Well it back fired on them. The term "No God" became a big hit.

I think it is funny but at the same time I understand their efforts. The religious people are trying so hard to break into the internet. But in a world where everything is type and can be fact checked almost immediately, it is hard to get any religion to make sense. I think the internet is going to help with the downfall of all religions eventually. The days of spewing inaccurate information is slowly dying, therefore religion is dying. With shows like Mythbusters showing us that even old cliches we thought were true, are just old stories that science disproves, it is easy to see the change in mentality for the majority.

WTF, Steve? Why all the hate? You should try forgiveness & torerance sometime. You've already got hypocracy down.

I found your videos on YouTube today by mistake, and I just read your entire blog straight through.

I have always been atheist and was raised by two atheist parents, so I cannot identify with the trials of your transition, but I still find comfort in your writing. I was sentenced to eternal damnation on the playground by fellow kindergartners, and I have grown up with religious harassment, sometimes from close friends. I am glad to see I am not alone.

Now I would define myself as a secular humanist. What strikes me most about your work is that it is extremely sensitive as well as rational. Your experience is one not often displayed or discussed, but I feel it is very important that it is made visibly recognized and not ignored, even by those who do not agree.

This was a long way to say it, but I want to give you my full encouragement. I hope to see more of your work, your compassion, strength, and frankness, in the future, and I will tell my friends.

Have seen Thunderfoot's new video, "The Internet, Where Religions Go To Die." He says basically the same thing as you, but I think you'd enjoy it. I did.
Peace....

You said,"The days of spewing inaccurate information is slowly dying, therefore religion is dying."

Actually the days of spewing inaccurate information is not slowly dying. It's growing at a rapid rate and that's what is killing off religion. Everyone has the ability to post any type of inaccurate information on the internet and just like people who fall for typical media hype also fall for this too.

We have a habit of following like sheep whether we are religous or not. look at all the athiests having so much in common, so much so that it could be labelled as YOUR religion, a closed minded approach to life.

James, I would disagree, Post something online that is inaccurate an people immediately answer with the truth and post the references to prove it.

I agree with James. As a college student, the point James makes is very valid considering our professors don't let us use wikipedia as a source for papers because anyone can write on it and it can't be trusted for accuracy. Just an example that sides with James. Peace y'all.
